It is the time of the year when all basketball fanatics in the world gather and cheer on their favorite team in the NBA, since it is the NBA playoffs season. It is the battle between the Boston Celtics and the Orlando Magic or the clash between the basketball titans, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett for the Boston Celtics and Dwight Howard, Rashard Lewis and Vince Carter for the Orlando Magic.

Now the Boston Celtics is leading and all Celtics fans all over the world are frantic and hoping that this will be another year for the Boston Celtics to emerge as NBA champion for the year 2010.

If you are a Boston Celtics fan then you would definitely know all the Celtics’ players and their statistics. Boston Celtics has now one of the most powerful line-ups in the NBA. They have been playing very well and winning most of their games, and with the list of players they have now, nothing is impossible. They have fifteen players all in all most of the players are quite young, with 29 as the average age of all players.

Paul Pierce as one of Celtics’ star players is also the highest paid with $19,795,712, followed by Ray Allen with $18,776,860 and Kevin Garnett with $16,417,044.

Kevin Garnett is one of Boston Celtics’ star players. He actually started playing with Minnesota Timberwolves before joining the Boston Celtics team. He is not just Celtic’s pride and joy but the whole NBA league as well. He is a very strong power forward and always helps his team to victory. A lot of people and sports experts believe that Boston Celtics became a stronger team after Kevin joined them in 2007.

Kevin Garnett is fondly called KG by his friends and team mates. He’s also won loads of achievements in his career in the NBA, like  NBA Most Valuable Player (2004) and NBA Defensive Player of the Year (2008).

I am not a very avid fan of basketball. I don’t even regularly watch NBA that is except if Boston Celtics has a game. I drop whatever it is that I’m doing every time they have a game. I am glued to the TV whenever they’re playing. Green suddenly became my favorite color. I just really love Boston Celtics, especially the players, Michael Finley, Nate Robinson, Rasheed Wallace, Paul Pierce, and my favorite Kevin Garnett. I think he is just so awesome. He plays very well, he wears Jersey number 5, plays power forward and he was selected 5th in the overall 1995 draft and became the first ever NBA player drafted directly out of high school in the last two decades.

For me they are the best team and Kevin Garnett is the best basketball player in the world.

In the third game of the playoffs for the 2010 NBA Championship, Boston Celtics proved again why they deserve to win. For the entire game, the basketball team gave a really good defense and offense which kept the score very close. Keep in mind that it is already 2-0 and the Miami Heat was pressured to win this game.

Fortunately, Boston Celtics players were in top shape and did not let the other team gain a large lead. Paul Pierce scored 32 points and even scored the last 2 points that gave the team the needed points to win the series.

In the second game of the NBA 2010 Championship, Boston Celtics was victorious again. The score was 106-77. In this game, the team showed yet again impressive defense and offence. KG was not around, attributing to the Boston Celtic’s big lead. On the other hand, Glen Davis performed quite well with 23 points.

Other great performances for the evening were delivered by Ray Allen who scored 25 points and made 7 out of 9 3-point baskets as well as Rajon Rondo who contributed 12 assists. For sure, the Miami Heat feels the pressure of winning the third game.

2008 was the year that Boston Celtics recaptured their glory. Unfortunately, this was not the case in 2009 when they lost to the Lakers. For 2010, things are actually looking up for the basketball team. Boston Celtics took the first step in winning the 2010 NBA Championship by winning their first game versus Miami Heat. For those of you, who saw the game, you cannot deny that the team’s defense was really impressive.
