Our Mission

To become a dynamic center for Celtic Culture and History by promoting, organizing and supporting Celtic cultural events, educating the community on Celtic culture and history, supporting various charitable causes and foundations and becoming a good community citizen.

Who are we?

We are located in Baton Rouge Louisiana. The Celtic Society of Louisiana was founded in December of 1999. Our growth has amazed all of us. The interest in Celtic history among the young is very pleasing. We have folks of Irish, Scottish and Welsh heritage. We would love to have members of other Celtic heritages. We welcome all who have an interest in Celtic Culture. We offer Bagpipe lessons & Bodhran lessons, Highland Athletics, Currach rowing, Literature Group, Parades, & other Social Activities. The band North Channel has been known to play from time to time. So please look over our site and enjoy.

Go n éirí do thuras leat!
(Have a successful trip!)

Please join us for the Swamps Celts Festival and Games.
